Creativity is a fickle thing. It comes. It goes. It comes back again.
But the good news is that your imagination is a muscle, and muscles can be flexed, strengthened and made more efficient.
How?
With regular exercise (yes, I’m aware I’m labouring this metaphor, stick with it)
If you want your brain to produce more creative ideas, then you have to feed it the right fuel.
Try this simple exercise.
Think of your favourite director/author/artist.
Rummage through their catalogue of work and dive into something, whether it’s their first film, their landmark novel or a seminal piece of art.
There’s nothing like seeing someone else’s imagination at work, to kick start your own.
